Inspiration
Inspiration can come from a friend
From softly spoken words
Or even ink from a pen
It can be sprayed on a canvas
And dotted with brush strokes
It can come from a strum
Or musician’s hitting high notes
Disguised as kind gesture or thought
Or even in an object that you have bought
But the inspiration lying here with in
It comes from the heart that’s where it all begins

Marathon

You got my mind running a marathon and you’re in first place
You got my mind running in circles and like a dog my tail I chase

I run with the swiftness of wind to get you off my mind
But when my heart rate slows Girl you are never far behind
Running 3 quarter of a mile only makes me forget for a while
Then thought of you come racing in again leaving me with a smile
Quickly I forget what I was doing the moment I hear you sing
Then I get lost in thoughts of you and now I’m at mile marker 15
Running and running to make thoughts of you slow and rest
While constantly thinking of this lioness puts my heart to the test

You got my mind running a marathon and you’re in first place
You got my mind running in circles and like a dog my tail I chase

I hit the ground running just to stop this thought process
If only for a minuet or an hour I step away from this bliss
Then I realize and think why is it I would every want to resist
Such sweet thoughts of those lips in which I dream of a kiss
That hot little body and an attitude that’s kind of naughty
For when I close my eyes all I see is your beautiful face
At that very moment I realize patients is needed to keep pace
So we can finish this marathon and enjoy this playful chase

You got my mind running a marathon and you’re in first place
You got my mind running in circles and like a dog my tail I chase

All Right

Its all going to be all right
No need for us to arm a fight
For we can burn them down with the love of life
When we get up in the morning and love this life

We won’t let them ever stand up in our way
We have to constantly out think there every play
They want us to fight that’s what they all say
But id rather wraps my arms around the light of day

For it’s Carpe diem when we dancing in the light
There is never darkness when your heart shines bright
So we link together and stand for what is right
For they are afraid of our loves contiguous bite

Because it is once bitten twice afraid
Of this potent touch that we will display
We finally drop this mask in this masquerade
And we march around with this love on parade

For every little thing going to be all right
That’s why the creator created love tonight
So we can all shine on and illuminate so bright
As we all ignite together in the consciousness of life

Home that’s where our heart is
Home that’s where we started
Home I long to go Home

It seems like so very long ago
We up rooted from the stars and we began to grow
Our Parents filled us in on what we think we know
Our heart leads the way and we begin the show

Home that’s where our heart is
Home that’s where we started
Home I long to go Home

Still Striving to connect to the spiritual unknown
Were digging up truths from the earth we call home
Looking and listening for words of the thrown
Our Life’s a journey we’re turning every stone

Home that’s where our heart is
Home that’s where we started
Home I long to go Home

Follow your dreams and manifest the known
I’m Singing to you from our far away home
Carefully listen to the words in my tone
Now Close your eyes and visualize our home

Because

Home that’s where our heart is
Home that’s where we started
Home I long to go Home

Junipers seen

Lying under the beauty of the juniper tree
I get pollen in my eyes till in my vision I can not see
So I lied dusted and discussed of all that was heard and said
While I left my heart open for victories of the undead
You words they eco so deep in side of my skull
It almost as if you have total control
But I won’t give you any more because you don’t deserve
Anymore heart or lip service would be absurd
If you want what you got coming you’ll have to come to me
Because I can take anymore of your lack of sanity
The way you flip and flop is just like a fish
As you tell me something sacred and then destroy it with a wish
There is no need for anger in the company of strangers
As we all sit around with our toes at the edge of cliff like hangers
And how I hate the unknowing it always cracks me up
And when I feel it I’m like a volcano about to erupt
If you said there is nothing then that would be some thing
But you refuse to tell me because you’re still thinking
Even though you know you will never make up your mind
So instead I guess you’re just wasting all of my time
I refuse to be abused not for one more day
I will no longer be a slave of your pain of yesterday
There is only one thing that I have left to say
That is I hope in time that you can find a path that won’t lead you a stray
One that won’t deceive you or control what you say
For the vision of love is not a thing of past today
It is only a reflection of things you would like to say
For in the distance is a past that holds you hostage today
And until you let it go it will forever lead you away
So until that time comes I have got to run
For in my vision is only more pain to come
As you sit and sulk about the water that you drink
Instead of listening to the streams that allow us to think
You just flow up a rock road 10 miles in the wrong direction
On a mounting of a mole hill there is no need for fabrication
As you lie to yourself and make a new declaration
One where you won’t get hurt and there always will be love
But in less you are willing there will never be any of the above
As I finally awake I start to see that I was never even close to the juniper tree
Just distracted by a flower that hung in side of me
Like a heart that I painted blue black and green
As we all waited for the change of the seen

For Everything

Sitting by the lights of the fire is where I would like to be
A burning ball of love and warmth and hot energy
A simple reminder of our first embrace you were hot
And I had a thing for your spicy and all that you had brought.
How can we replace these cold stars with something else?
Instead of 14 course meals enough to feed the common wealth
Its time to rise is time to shine and start this spark
For I have spent enough time in this ice cold park
There is no warmth here because I can’t find enough heart
Instead we rely on the thin black lines hanging on a pie chart
Another statistic in a schematic is what I have found
They tell you how to live what to think and when to drown
There time it’s coming the sun is shining and it all works out
With out a doubt in my mind the people of the sun can figure this out
Lets replace the cold face of the earth in which we live
With a new light of the heart and the oxygen to forgive
No righteousness will do ever to get us threw these lines
Humble self, and see the cage is only in our mines
Because time can’t be told in less we see the lights of the divine
Like a branch out on a limb I’m ready to begin to unravel this twine
Make up your mind fight for your religion or your self or everything else
Things like the birds and the bees and the great old trees
Things like love, compassion and all the hungry being

The Sound of Light

By Tim S. Poma

Light will travel at excessive speeds
As sound crawls and lies next to me
Dear god would you send me a sign
For I only want to know if this sound is wasting your time
Don’t frown when my sound it gets so low
For in my heart I know I know I know
That nothing can taste as sweet as this love
But still I fill my mind with a symphony of
Lies and deception for that’s all I hear
But look no further then right inside my ear
It’s ringing to make me make, me make sense
It keeps me alive and holds my heart at the protective fence
I’m still Guide by the sound of your light
Looking for nothing more then a taste of your truth of life
